Founded in 2018 in Hampshire, UK, VisionForge AI was created by a team of computer vision researchers and manufacturing engineers who understood that industrial AI needed to work in the real world — not just in a lab.
VisionForge AI was founded when Dr. Eleanor Shaw and Marcus Webb, a computer vision PhD and a lean manufacturing expert, recognised that the available AI tools for industrial inspection were either too academic or too generic. UK manufacturers needed solutions built for their reality.
Starting in a converted workshop in Fleet, Hampshire, they assembled a team of optical engineers, machine learning specialists, and experienced production managers. The result was a platform built from the ground up for the demands of British manufacturing — harsh environments, strict tolerances, legacy infrastructure, and real regulatory requirements.
Today, VisionForge is the UK's most deployed industrial vision AI platform, with systems running on factory floors from Aberdeen to Plymouth, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Every system we build starts with the question: is it accurate enough for a real production environment?
We deploy alongside your team and remain your technical partner for the entire lifecycle of your system.
Our hardware is designed and assembled in Hampshire. Our engineers are UK-based and UK-focused.
25% of our revenue is reinvested in R&D. We hold 14 patents in industrial vision systems.
